Having a newborn in the house hasn't been as hard as I thought it would be.He behaves particulary well. Although my daughter Taylor feels the need to get in his face all the time. She talks to him with her face right in his. I've told her a couple of times to stop and I don't want to be so mean about it because I don't want her to get mixed feeling with the baby and all..so finally I showed her how annoying it might be. I had her stand right in front of me and I got within one inch of her face and started doing the same thing that she does to Hunter. I think she got the point and she's been pretty good about it since.
Yesterday I was changing Hunter's diaper on his changing table and Taylor was standing right next to me leaning against his crib. Somehow I don't know how my child managed to stick her foot through the little slots of the crib. She started screaming that her foot was stuck. So I tell her to relax because she's scareing the baby with her screaming. As I'm trying to get her foot unstuck..she's hyperventilating saying that she's stuck and that I'm going to break her foot and she's not going to be able to take it out. I swear she was having a panic attack it was almost hilarious. When I finally get her to calm down it was fairly simple to get her foot out and then she laughed about it but OMG what a dilema. I didn't know she had it in her to go into such panic.
On another note, Hunter slept pretty good last night, he only woke up twice so I was able to get some sleep.
Sounds like your daughter just wants to be a big helper.
