 AHHHHH

The hot water heater was acting up yesterday so I was not able to take a decent shower because there is no way that I can take a cold shower..it's just not possible. So I jumped in washed the necessary parts and jumped out pissed off and freezing. My daughter slept over my mom's house last night so it was just us and the baby which was nice. I was a little tired, I watched my nephew, he's a year and a half and I was chasing him around the house all day.
The baby slept wonderful last night he woke up once at 4:00 in the morning and then didn't wake up until 7:00. Awesome .

My sister brought my nephew again today. And then around 9:00 my doorbell rings, it's my step-father with my daughter. Apparantly she wanted to say hi to her baby brother before going to school so he decided to stop by my house..of course you know once she's here she isn't going to want to leave for school..so she stayed home.
So all day she has been complaining that my nephew keeps following her around the house, he's messing up her room, he's grabbing her toys..I'm about to burst.

My nephew was an angel yesterday...today on the other hand I don't know what is wrong with him. He knocked over a whole row of movies from the movie rack. Knocked over things on my computer desk, knocked over my keyboard. Didn't want to eat lunch, refused to take a nap and just walked around the house whining..Finally he passed out on the coach which is were he is at the moment. I am hoping he sleeps the rest of the afternoon!! So I took advantage, the water heater stopped acting up and I took a nice hot shower..

The only good child in this house right now is the newborn!!!

I will have my nephew tomorrow too..

 It's my day off

Me and Alex don't fight at all which is great. I'm glad to finally have a relationship where I'm not always fighting. We do have ocassional discussions but that's normal. But I swear I almost knocked him upside his head on Sunday. We were sitting on the couch watching a movie and I was feeding the baby, I was trying to burp him but was having no succes, so Alex takes him to see if he can get one out of him, he succeeds and then goes to hand the baby back to me. I told him I didn't want him back, since he did such a great job, he should finish feeding him. I wasn't being completely serious I of course would have taken him back to finish. But Alex states..no you take him, it's my day off.. I almost fell over. I stayed looking at him with this you have got to be kidding me look. Then he's like What..What did I say?? I told him Oh nothing...don't worry. That's when I stopped talking to him and he knew that he had messed up. After I fed the baby he offered to go change the baby's diaper but I told him in my best sarcastic voice..no no, don't worry, go sit down it's your day off!!

I let him slide a little since I'm not back at work yet and I could technically sleep half the day if I wanted to, and he does help me out when he gets home from work. But when I start working again, he better not even think about uttering those words to me.."It's my day off!!" When do I get a day off!! I didn't stay mad for long because that just isn't possible with me and him because we have such a great relationship but he does have his moments.

 Is it wrong??

I love being home with the baby but it really sucks to be missing my income. I just raided all of our piggy banks so that I can put gas in my car. I took $10.00 out of ours, $3.00 out of Taylor's and $3.00 out of the baby's. I don't lament taking $10.00 from ours but is it wrong to take from the children??? I'll put the money back in when I go back to work but I just feel guilty. We are struggling, Alex has been in a pissy mood the last couple of days because he's stressed out that we have no money. I told him I would go back to work on Monday but he is insistant that I at least stay another month at home with the baby so that he is at least two months old when we leave him with the babysitter. I told him that we tried to make it work but it just isn't happening that I should go back to work Monday but he saids no, that somehow we will make it work. So we'll see. Trust me I wish I didn't have to go back to work at all and could just stay home with him but it just isn't possible. And at $3.30 a gallon for gas, those $16.00 I stole from us won't get me very far!!

 Priceless

In the news last night I saw that there was a prank pulled at a local High School. About 50 doors to classrooms were glued shut. They had to pry the doors open and change all the locks, they put glue inside the locks so that teachers couldn't put the keys in. I don't know about you but I thought that was hilarious! Unfortuately the school had to waste money in replacing the locks but in the end it wasn't a prank that physically hurt anyone. I thought it was priceless!!

 Close Call

Yesterday was completely not my day. It started off good I slept a little more in the morning. Since it's the weekend Alex took over baby duties in the morning so I was able to sleep until 9:00. I spent some time coloring with Taylor before she left to her dad's house.

Me and Alex started a little BBQ. The baby was inside asleep on his swing so I took the baby monitor and sat out on the back porch relaxing with Alex. I came back in the house made some french fries then when I was done I went back outside since the baby was still sleeping. We start talking about renting a movie so we decide I should go quickly while the baby was still asleep. As I'm walking towards the back door, through the window on the door I can see the pan that I had cooked the fries on is on the stove ON FIRE!!!! The first words out of my mouth were "OH SHIT"!!! I went inside, grabbed the flaming pan and took it outside as I'm walking out the door witht he flaming pan the wind pushes the flames my way so I threw the pan on the floor and screamed for Alex. I went back inside..the house was full of smoke, I turned off the stove, opened the front door and grabbed the baby to take him out of the smoke filled house. I completely freaked out...I almost burnt the house down with my son inside!! Luckily evertything was okay. Looking back I don't think grabbing the flaming pan was such a great idea but my first reaction was to take the flaming thing out of my house!!! Since it was oil burning on the pan I knew I couldn't throw water on it so that was the only thing I thought of to do. So I burned my hand, the tips of my eyebrows and eyelashes were burnt too, but the baby is okay and I didn't burn anything inside the house. We don't own the house we rent and it's an old house that needs to be remodeled, the house has iron bars on the inside on all the windows. So thank god I went in when I did before the house really caught on fire because i would not have been able to get inside to get the baby out through any of the windows..that's what freaked me out the most. You would think that would be the end of my day..but nooooo.....

The light bulb in the ceiling fan in the dining room went out so Alex changed the bulb. He must have not screwed the light base back on correctly because when I went to go pull the string to turn the light off the light base fell hit me on the head and shattered into a million pieces on the floor.
So now I have a burnt hand, burned eyebrows/eyelashes and a bump on my head!! What a day!!!

Thankfully we are all safe and nothing happened but my oh my that was a close one..One that I will never forget. I told Alex I don't think I should cook for a while!!
